How it works
There is one button. Whoever pays the most decides where it goes.
- Somebody pays to own the button.
- Every click on it goes to their link. Nobody sees where until they click.
- They can pick the word printed on the button, too.
- Somebody else pays more and takes it off them. No warning, no negotiation.
- Repeat until the internet gets bored.
The boring but important part
Every link is followed through its redirects and checked against Google Safe Browsing the moment you pay. Clean links go live straight away. Malware, phishing, or a chain ending somewhere we would not want a stranger to land gets held for a human, and refunded in full if we say no.
Money
Payments run through Mollie. We're based in the EU so cold hard euros it is. The current floor is €2, which is one euro above whatever the last owner paid. You can pay more than the floor, and people who plan to keep the button usually do, because the floor is also the price somebody else has to beat.
Once you own it
You keep it until somebody outbids you. There is no time limit and no subscription. There is also no refund when you lose it. Tough luck kiddo.
Two people bidding at once
Possible, briefly. If two payments clear at the same price, the lower one is refunded automatically and nobody has to have an argument about it.
